prabjit Posted February 16, 2006 Posted February 16, 2006 hey,Someone told me that skipping burns more calories than running. is this true?
white lily Posted February 18, 2006 Posted February 18, 2006 Intensity is missing factor in your question. How 'hard' are you running? How 'fast' are you skipping?Skipping can be more intense that jogging but you must be above 3 revolutions/second.this said, bouts of interval style sprints can be more intense than skipping at 3rps but not as intense as skipping at 5rps.Do you want to loose weight or get into better fighting condition?google 'buddy lee' for good info on skipping and martial-athlete.com for getting to betting fighting conditioncheers
prabjit Posted February 19, 2006 Author Posted February 19, 2006 i want to lose weight so should i skip? or jog?
Jiffy Posted February 21, 2006 Posted February 21, 2006 Both are great excersizes. Why not do both? Alternate between them. The only downside is it is a high impact excersize (heavy on the knee joints etc), but they are both the same.So yeah, mix it up, do both. The mind is like a parachute, it only works when it's open.
