red dawn Posted February 7, 2006 Posted February 7, 2006 I sometimes get close to going all the way down...but I've always been really bad about stretching . So I always lose it and then have to get it back...but I'm working on stretching everyday now, so hopefully I'll get real close to the splits again. I never said it wasn't dangerous.

I've been stretching for years and I still can't touch my feet ...must be genetic...its odd though because I can kick above my head, which confuses me even further lol. June1 Posted February 16, 2006 Posted February 16, 2006 I heard that if you practice everyday for a few minutes, you'll have it within a week or two. I don't know if that's true, though, since so many people I know still can't do the splits at brown belt or higher. I think it also just depends on your natural flexibility. A friend of mine is two belts behind me, and can almost do the splits, while I still can't. Guess she's just genetically predisposed, or something. Kool Kiais: ICE! DIE! KITES!
