Sorry if this has been here before

running up hills is a great work out for your calfs. i like to do squats with heavy weights say 100kgs and do about 10 first i start off with say 60 and go uo to 80 then 100 then 110 and do 10reps on each set. i do that about twice a week. you can also get into the squat position and walk with weights in your hands keeping your back straight and knees really bent id say start with 5kg in each hand. you should only train your legs twice a week with weights as they need longer to rest as we are always using them. also practicing your teachique over and over , streteching and working on a heavy bag with also help with power,

Balance in everything. You work the quads, work the hamstrings as well.

Calves: Lots of toe raises, toe extensions on leg press machines, etc.

Quads - Leg presses, leg extensions, squats (EXCELLENT), anything that straightens the legs under weight.

Hams - Leg curls, anything that bends the legs under weight (Squats help as well, they control the descent, it's called a negative rep)

All of the above is awesome advice . Personally I combine the two . For example 1 set of squats followed by 1 set squat jumps *3 -1 set lunge followed by 1 set jumping lunge *3 - 1 set calf raise followed by calf or toe jumping *3 and so on . I like to follow this type of work out with a 3 to 5 rounds ( at least 1 minute a round ) on a heavybag (only kicks ) . Then dynamic leg streching ( leg swings or stretch kicks ) followed by lots of stretching ( VERY IMPORTANT ) . The three movements are only an example of the many movements you can do but you are looking for a match in the strength movement and the plyometric .

We are not so much individual beings as individual points of perception within one immense being.
