chris luckcuck Posted April 2, 2002 Posted April 2, 2002 (edited) Still a novice by this forums standard : **(2nd Brown (of 3) Sei Do Ryu Karate - Brown with blue tags.)** scrap that, now - 1st Kyu - brown + red tags. Sei Do Ryu is apparently a mix of shotokan, Wado and something else. started 2 years ago at 22 but i trained when i was 8 and 14 - couldn't hack it. Edited August 13, 2002 by chris luckcuck

KP Posted April 4, 2002 Posted April 4, 2002 I have advanced to brown belt in Shorin ryu KarateIn just a little over three years. We don't have any stripes or other steps. We spar with hand, feet and head gear full force. Areas above the waist are targets except the face. I also was trained by a friend in Muay thai for a year. No pads at about 70% I learned to love the low round house. My friend was on the American full contact team in the early 90. So many things to learn so little time to learn them.
