Carlos Tearney is a Renshi at the Dojo where I'm training.

I laughed when I read

Tearney started with the advantage as he had an entire cheering section for him, complete with signs like 'It's Showtime'.

That's our Dojo, for sure. I wish I could have gone.

Sorry to drag up an old thread, but I just found out about this. Hope this takes off. The video found here: http://www.worldcombatleague.com/media/wmv/Debut.wmv has one of the most brutal high round kick KO i've ever seen. Check it out.

My latest black belt mag had a good artical about it. I think it will be good for martial arts. I think it is a matter of it getting enough TV time in order to get people interested. I'm sure there are people like me who are not interested in seeing every fight go to the ground. If you are a boxing fan you would not want to see matches end up grappling either. This is my opinion but I like stand-up fighting.
