Was this event supposed to be on pay per view because I never saw a single promotion and I probably would have purchased just for the novelty.

I personally didn't go but my dad and some of my Karate team did. They said it was good..some bloodshed and a few knockouts...it was taped and i think they will show it on ESPN2 sometime soon...hope so anyway

Carlos Tearney is a Renshi at the Dojo where I'm training.

I laughed when I read

Tearney started with the advantage as he had an entire cheering section for him, complete with signs like 'It's Showtime'.

That's our Dojo, for sure. I wish I could have gone.

looked pretty good to me, i would continue to watch it, it reminds me of the older full contact sparring matches back in the 70s

My latest black belt mag had a good artical about it. I think it will be good for martial arts. I think it is a matter of it getting enough TV time in order to get people interested. I'm sure there are people like me who are not interested in seeing every fight go to the ground. If you are a boxing fan you would not want to see matches end up grappling either. This is my opinion but I like stand-up fighting.
