Sometimes when I meditate, I listen to really slow, chill music. After a few minutes of thinking of nothing, and just relaxing, my hands start to tingle a little bit. Usually, I ignore the feeling and continue on meditating, but tonight, I looked down at my palms, and they were pale exept for large pink spots all over.

Anyone know what this is?

There will always be the Jackie Chans and Jet Li's who will come along and dazzle us with their screen antics. But Bruce Lee was a seeker of knowledge, a true master of the fighting arts and philosophy.

Wow... pink spots, eh? Could it possibly be the temperature of the room? Maybe the room was cold and your flowing chi was hot.

some books say chi is part of your blood(or bodily fluids) so, it could be your chi manifesting itself in you...

whenever i try to summon chi-balls, by consintrating on forming the chi, but not thinking, i feel the same tingling feeling. also, if i just let my mind slip into the bliss,(meditaton)it comes very quikly. i also have the pink spots, and i believe that these are where your chi is being emmited. i believe that all the color in your hand is being centralized on a few spots on your hand. i am dark skinned, and so its hard to see mine, though.

There are several physiological actions taking place that 'qi' attempts to be categorized with. It's unfair to lump it all into one word.

Personally, I avoid terms such as 'summon', since people think those who implement internal aspects are quacks as it is...

It would be nice to not immediately start of on the wrong foot due to misconceptions surrounding the use and implementation of the the mind/body connection.

Qi {or whatever it represents} does move with the body fliods, especially blood, and indeed is closely tied to blood flow, so there may be a connection there somewhere.

Good post but I would put bodily fluids under the "jing" heading. I think qi wouls corrolate more to the central nervous system.
