muaythaidm
Right now I do just Muay Thai. I would like to also learn BJJ, Kali(or pretty much any weapon arts), and Krav-Maga. But I live in a small town and none of these are offered, I was very suprised when I found out that Muay Thai was. Does anyone know of any good books or videos about any of these arts? tigerstyle18
If only I had all the time in the world. I would train in as many martial arts as possible. There can never be enough!!! YODA
Why is it that so many people see "Black Belt" as an end product or time to do something else? I always thought Black Belt was the point at which you had a good understanding of the basics of your system - a time to begin the real training, not relax or go elsewhere. Or maybe it's because people still think it's impractical to study more than one system at once? Funny thing - I had no problem at school studying Maths & English - I didn't suddenly start trying to add up nouns or write sentences in algebra. YODA
On the original subject --- I would love to study Iaido properly. I trained in it about 5 years ago but start again if I could find decent instruction - I still play at it but I'm sure MANY errors have crept in. SBN Doug
I'm not sure any more. I would have said Hapkido, but KSW has most of what Hapkido has plus aspects of TKD/TSD. I currently drive an hour each way on Fridays just to continue in this art. In response to YODA, ever blk belt in KSW means another level of learning. New techniques to learn, new weapons etc. So I do focus on achieving each belt rank for that reason, not to leave. If I HAD to, I might try Kenpo. I prefer a close in, hand striking style. Bitseach
Good grief! I haven't even heard of half these MAs! I have done judo and now do shotokan karate but would like to try tai chi and aikido. I am quite interested in wing chun kung fu and would like to learn it some time in the future - not enough time presently to train that much unless you're single with no other hobbies! ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~My karma will run over your dogma~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
