Berimbau Trouble...

Featured Replies

Do any of you know where I can get a quality berimbau (or other capoeira supplies) and be able to pay COD or some other method not involving checks, credit cards, paypal, etc.? Being 15, those payment methods would be out of the question. Most martial arts supply sites dont have any capoeira equipment, and the few capoeira sites that i find dont have payment options that I could use. HELP! AAHHH!

I have to admit I know very little about what you are speaking. Can you describe what it is? And what it is used for?

I think the berimbau is the unique and specific instrument which sets the rhythm or beat for the jinga which is a tune/dance/beat upon which a lot of (or all of?) capoeira is based. Sorry I do not know a lot about capoeira at all  hehe But everything about it looks very neat and kewlio

Well, gumby is half right. The berimbau is one of the instruments for capoeira music. The music is used in the game, the jogo. The ginga is the basic movement that the other moves are based on. I definately agree with spinninggumby on the fact that it looks REALLY cool! lol Its even more fun to do.
