griff Posted October 2, 2005 Posted October 2, 2005 can someone tell me some good martial arts work out videos. i can't find anything i get a work out to or anything that's really useful. i'd like something i can learn about martial arts from plus get a really good work out from. i live so far away from anything i have to learn from videos but can't find anything good.
griff Posted October 4, 2005 Author Posted October 4, 2005 As i said before i don't live near anything so that's all i have and i want it to learn but also get in shape so i don't really even need something that goes into great detail or gets into anything involving more than one person i could just use something to work out to.

AndrewGreen Posted October 4, 2005 Posted October 4, 2005 See: Billy Blanks, great workout I hear.trainforstrength.com has some good stuff as well.Or get some basice boxing instruction and a heavy bag and a skipping rope.If you are looking to fight anyone but yourself, you need people to train with... griff Posted October 4, 2005 Author Posted October 4, 2005 yeah i got a billy blanks video but theres too much other stuff in there they do a lot of weird stuff. right now i'm just livin at home so i want to train as much as possible because i plan on moving soon then i can work with other people. and as far as sendin that it would be really good except the fact that my comp is screwed up and has no sound and i can't burn dvds on it so i dunno if i'd be able to use it. i've gotten and done some useful boxing videos my hand speed and stamina and stuff like that have increased drasticly from it but i want to do more than just boxing so that's why i want to learn martial arts.
AndrewGreen Posted October 4, 2005 Posted October 4, 2005 Which is why you need people to train against. It's like learning to play chess on your own(no computer either) Without another person it's just not possible. Andrew Greenhttp://innovativema.ca - All the top martial arts news!
griff Posted October 4, 2005 Author Posted October 4, 2005 yeah i understand that most of getting good at boxing or martial arts or anything like that is going to come mostly from getting experience and fighting other people but what i'm trying to do now is just learn as much as i can and get in the best shape that i can for when i do make that switch to practicing on my own to practicing with other people. and in that respect all i have to go on is videos which have already helped some so far.
Jay Posted October 5, 2005 Posted October 5, 2005 alrite if you get your comp fixed give me a shout The key to everything is continuity achieved by discipline.
JusticeZero Posted October 5, 2005 Posted October 5, 2005 When will you have an opportunity to train with other people? I thought no such opportunity existed for you right now. If you have anywhere you can train, go there. "Anything worth doing is worth doing badly." - Baleia
