Menjo
Eating certain foods at certain times i think can help, but you should be careful who you listen to. My best advice is to refer you to google... "Time is what we want most, but what we use worst"William Penn

Aodhan
are there ways to increase appetite? possibli eating certian foods or eating at certain times....eating in certain ways even...to increase appetite. i am an extreme hardgainer and cant gain any mass unless i increase my measley intake. the onli way to do that is eat more but i have NO appetite...well a little bit...but i dont eat nearli enuf as i need to. i need to increase my appetite. PLEASE HELP! thx in advance Just stuffing more food in your mouth may not do it, and may just end up making you fat, instead of good gains.I'm a hardgainer, and I found that it wasn't so much the food and the training, as it was my recovery time. I found that I do the best when I train a bodypart hard once a week, whereas most people do two or three times a week.Your best bet is to figure out your basal metabolism (How many calories you need to wake up and breathe all day), then add in everything for your normal daily activity. This is your basic caloric need per day.Once you know that, you can start working on ways to add calories (It doesn't take much, maybe 5-600 calories extra a day for pound of gain a week.) If that still doesn't work, then you need to look at the timing and type of training that you are doing.Your goal for weight gain of good solid muscle should be no more than 3-4 pounds a month. You may gain more in the beginning, but in general, 3-4 lbs a month is a good goal for either weight gain OR loss. Anything more/less than that is usually water or excess empty calories.Aodhan There are some people who live in a dream world, and there are some who face reality; and then there are those who turn one into the other.-Douglas Everett, American hockey player
CagedWarrior
You can start by eating things like white rice, pasta, and potatos as your carbs with lean white meat as your protein, those thigns digest very fast and will be out of the way for your next meal. Eventually your stomache will stretch and your appetite will be bigger.

glockmeister
This is where protein shakes and meal replacement drinks come in. If you arent hungry, you can still force down a liquid diet. what I used to do is eat soemthing every 3 hours, even if it was just an apple and a can of sardines. it will keep your metabolism running but will also keep a steady intake of calories and protein. Also since they are several small meals, you don't feel "stuffed" by gobbling down a large meal. This of cours ein conjunction with a good steady lifting routine. "You know the best thing about pain?
