Shotokan-Karate Posted June 4, 2006 Posted June 4, 2006 I do shotokan as you can see from my name I would say my faviorites are kanku sho (2nd dan) Chinte (3rd dan) and Unsu wich I use for competitions and have won 4 so far (3rd in judgement day) anyway, unsu, great kata, A 360 jump and its 4th dan kata and i am only 1st kyu "Words mean nothing, they are empty expressions floating around, Do not be offended, words mean nothing."

Because of that it offers a great workout for the human body. It's a very dynamic kata containing punches, blocks, front kicks, side kicks and a jumping double kick. Almost all parts of the body are being trained by it. It has also an arsenal of techniques and combinations ready to be used for seldefense.Tekki Shodan :Is a short kata, with very practical techiques based on selfdefense. For a short kata, it is very rich of applications. It can be practised almost anywhere, you don't need much space to practise this kata. I even practise this kata in my office sometimes.
