There are a number of smaller chains, plus a ton of independents out there.

A partial list can be found at:

http://www.urbin.net/EWW/MA/KEMPO/fv-ft.html

Here are a few more schools that teach SKK that I know of:

Kempo Academy of Martial Arts (http://www.kempoacademy.com/)

Karate International (Scott Wood's schools)

Dynamic Martial Arts (http://www.westportkarate.com/page951880.htm)

Adojo Shaolin Kempo Karate Center (http://www.njkarate.com/)

Loudoun Academy of Martial Arts (http://www.loudounmartialarts.com)

I'm sure that there are a ton more out there that I don't know about.

Check out http://tokyojoes.net/ is an offshoot of Fred Bagley's United studios which was a breakoff of Villari's Studios in the early 70s

I can't believe that I forgot about Tokyo Joes. They win the award for most interesting name of a Villari breakoff.

Heres one that split from mattera shaolin kempo arts https://www.delmarmartialarts.com its run by 4th degree black belt joey larocque. Dont know why he left USSD?

Probabley the same reson evryone leaves matteras ussd org. Maybe there not getting good training?

Not getting promoted for lack of numbers-students?

Maybe he didnt like charging $175 a month for classes and he wanted it to be affordable to evryone?

California is littered with mattera breakoffs just like boston is full of villari breakoffs.

Check out https://www.losaltoskarate.com its run by master ren leffew a 5th dan. he trained with villari and this where he's different than most martial artist  he mixes ed parkers kempo with shaolin kempo. He studys with larry tatum a 10th degree. I wish more instructors would cross train and mix other styles in there curriculum.
