Hart
Does anybody have tips for building muscle in your hands. My hands are a little on the small side and I was just wondering if there are special exercises I can do to make them larger.

parkerlineage
Let me get this straight...you want bigger...hands?Do you mean grip muscles? Knuckles? Or just overall size? Grip muslces, they have lots of fun little squeezy toys...knuckles...do lots of knuckle push-ups and punch hard surfaces (but not too hard or too much)...overall size...get a different body. My sensei is living proof of that, he no longer can compete thanks to the "nuckle head" who told him to do them.(pun intended)I'd hate to see another 30-40 year old come around in 20 years having arthritis.Your hand is small, keep it that way. Use it like a mole, weasel into thier defences. DO finger tip pushups to build up hand muscles at a less expensive cost 20 years down the line. This will also cusion your bones ect when punshing something. My left arm use to be useless for this reason. Then I started fingertip pushups .Start out on your knees, that do them on your kness but wiht you legs seperated, this also helps with splits ect, then work on them wiht no kness.Who ever thought of punching hard walls really wasn't thinking. IMO For Grip Muscles pretend there is a 300+ lb object infront of you, Visualize it the thry to push it with you hands. Slowly as it wasy 300lbs and no one wants a hernia. XD Once you get your arms almost strait start grabing like some one was trying to kill you and you had their face in graps. Do this for about 5 mins. The break and repeat until you're tired. You may look dumb, but the results are phenominal. Needing to focus...

Fallen Hero
I have tiny hands as well, but I find them useful. It makes it easier to weave in and out of someone's defense. Also when I hit someone, it doesn't cover as wide of an area but it is more direct. You can attack more accurately if say you want to knock someone out without causing too much excess damage to other parts. The game of war is ended with a closed fistWars are ended with an open fist. I bet they crack more ofter/easierly then the others too?I am not sure if you can fix it, but I'll be sure to ask. Anyways I'd suggest lowering the amount or stopping altogether and working on other styles of pushups and excercises, such as I suggested. They work quite well XD. Needing to focus... Goju_boi
well if you want a better grip,I've read that if u hold a dumbell palms up with your arm in a 90 degree angle and hold it for a while your hand will tighten. This makes your grip get stronger. https://www.samuraimartialsports.com for your source of Karate,Kobudo,Aikido,And Kung-Fu
Fallen Hero
I've read that too, but also I read it works with palm down. Its hard to do with small hands though. 20 lbs is the most that I can fit my hand around. The game of war is ended with a closed fistWars are ended with an open fist.
