Jack Posted March 18, 2002 Posted March 18, 2002 Great thanks One last question, what sort of recovery time would we be looking at for Tabata sprinting? Would it be fine to do light training for a while the next day, and then go back to intense training? JackCurrently 'off' from formal MA trainingKarateForums.com
YODA Posted March 18, 2002 Author Posted March 18, 2002 I'd recommend 2 days rest between Tabata sprint sessions. That doesn't mean rest from intense leg work - cycle your programme & you can go hard almost every day! Jack Posted March 18, 2002 Posted March 18, 2002 I'll do them on the Fridays then and rest up over the weekend. Thanks. JackCurrently 'off' from formal MA trainingKarateForums.com

SaiFightsMS Posted March 18, 2002 Posted March 18, 2002 You know in many ways an intensive day of testing is like a tabata workout.
YODA Posted March 19, 2002 Author Posted March 19, 2002 Hmmm.... yes I can see that in the fact that it's interval training - but the Tabata method has specific timings to it that have been researched & found to work the best.
