glockmeister
They are somewhat, but we son't use the kind of night sticks you are thinking about. We are still using the old 36" billies and we already get traiing there at work for how to use them. Also we seldom have them except on certain posts. On a cell block, we don't carry weapons of any kind. When they would be needed only those of us on the emergency responce team would have weapons and usually its shields and pepper ball guns, not night sticks. "You know the best thing about pain? glockmeister
My main issue of concern is the majority of the students are kids. Also, I wasn't impressed by the fact that the instructor didn't even know there were different styles of Shorin Ryu The price is good. But I also value my time. "You know the best thing about pain? UseoForce
oooo....that's that Russian MA right? Always wanted to try it. Man, you're lucky! Where I live, there are lots of TSD schools, my school, and a BJJ school. Thats it! Wish I had the same variety you do! If it works, use it!If not, throw it out! glockmeister
Well not too lucky, I dont have alot of options in this area either. This otherschool is actually in another town but I think it will be worth the drive. They also teach Sambo and MMA and Shotakan, BJJ and MT. https://www.americansystemonline.com "You know the best thing about pain? UsagiYojimbo
what are the four main styles of shorin ryu. Matsubayashi, kobayashi, and matasumura. I can't think of the forth one right now.According to Wikipedia, there is a fourth one called Shobayashi. These are the four main ones, but there are apparently many others. Enviroman
Glock, I know a bit about the Red Lion school. If I remember correctly, they are pretty expensive. And CHECK THEIR CREDENTIALS! I used to shoot with a guy that studied there. I disliked him greatly and he (and the school) have no respect for TMA. You can even see on their website this quote:"Tradition Means Out of Date!!!"
