owthathurts Posted March 6, 2002 Posted March 6, 2002 I have pain in the heel of my right foot. I've had it for about a week now and it hasn't gone away. I think I got it from practicing too many jump front kicks and trying to land on my right foot. It hurts to put any weight on it or when I run. Anybody have any good tips on making it feel better? Other than the obvious don't land on your right foot! Thanks!
KickChick Posted March 6, 2002 Posted March 6, 2002 yeah, well besides the obvious ... then check out http://www.heelspurs.com/_intro.html it can possibly be "plantar fasciitis, heel spurs, causing your heel pain.
SaiFightsMS Posted March 7, 2002 Posted March 7, 2002 Wow what a reference Kickchick. Heel spurs do show up in x-rays. Mind showed up real well anyhow. I had success with the iotopheresis treatments to reduce the inflamation and a taping technique. You might also try thermal contrast. Put the heel in a bucket of hot water then ice the area alternating cold and heat. Finish with the heat. Ultimately I wound up wearing shoes in class.
owthathurts Posted March 7, 2002 Author Posted March 7, 2002 Well....I feel the pain in the heel...but when I touch the heel it doesn't hurt. It hurts when I touch around the heel right below my ankle. It throbs...! Thanks for the help guys
