I agree, I really like watching a good ground specialist at work. I couldnt believe how many people said the Arona/Lister fight was boring- I thought it was great as hell.

On the other hand though, I have been bored to death by alot of standup matches in MMA, but awed by the ones in K-1

I also liked the Arona/Lister fight, however your average Joe will just look at it and see 2 guys wrestling but he would look at the Cotour/Lidell fight and will clearly understand what is happening

I have to say I primarily do grappling but i usually prefer watching a good standup fight. I also prefer standup mma fight to K-1 or kickboxing standup.

I honestly think that k-1 would be interesting to a tradionalt martial arts guy, but UFC is just for the up and coming new tech generation

I disagree , k-1 is sport oriented just like UFC .

A traditional guy would like to watch the WKF world tournament more than watching a K-1 or UFC match

Even traditional fighters fight with rules.

that's too broad of a generalization. WAY too broad. heck, k-1 is rooted in kyokushin, no?
