personally im the same in both i've always been told if your good at patterns you'll be good at sparring to!

so what about you guys?

this is not about what you've won for each

TAE: to jump, kick or smash with foot

KWON: A fist-to punch or distroy with the hand or fist

DO: is an art, way or method

definately sparring when i was in tkd, probaly because i was more enthusiastic about it then i was forms.

probably forms,

i compete in both to a decent level but i think i have more of a love for forms so i seem to take more in forms sections!

sticks and stones may break my bones, but i am trained to kill you.

I wouldnt say good patterns practitioners are good at sparring as a rule, just that good students are good at both...... if u see what i mean.

I'm better at forms, in my opinion, probably because I spend a lot more time doing them. I prefer kata to sparring, although I think that sparring teaches more practical lessons than kata.

I was better at forms (kata) earlier on but that was because I was able to practice them more. Since I've been able to spar more, I would say that I'm about equal in ability now.
