elbows_and_knees
Some of those preachers might be old and week , they can't train in a full martial art system .then they need a gun. I know people in their 50's who kickbox. One of my judo coaches is pushing 80 and he still schools people. Which art he learns doesn't matter. When dealing with things like age and frailty, what matters is HOW you teach them, not WHAT you teach them. However, realistically, the old and weak person needs a firearm. If they are not weak or handicapped, that is different.fair point - but i think he's more talkign about self-defense against a specific situation rather than just for preachers if you see what i mean.... Yeah, that's what I figured. And I still think it would be a joke. I wouldn't train a preacher any different than I would any other man. And I'm not a big fan of scenario training, for several reasons.

y2_sub
then they need a gun. They are not supposed to kill anyone , they are preachers , remeber ??? I know people in their 50's who kickbox. One of my judo coaches is pushing 80 and he still schools people. They must have started martial arts when they were young . Sometimes old people are not even allowed to do any type of hard sports . Sam
I agree.... i think the basics are always worth learning... but generally when confronted with a gun, compliance is advisable
elbows_and_knees
They are not supposed to kill anyone , they are preachers , remeber ??? 1. nobody said they must shoot to kill2. The bible is full of war. The commandments say thou shalt not kill, however, in defense of your life or religion, there seem to be exceptions made. David was considered VERY close to God - a man after His own heart. And he killed in battle, as did his men. He repented and all was fine. If I'm not mistaken, Joshua did plenty of killing as well. Let's not forget Abraham, who was going to sacrifice his own son...They must have started martial arts when they were young . Sometimes old people are not even allowed to do any type of hard sports .Not particularly - the two guys am speaking mainly of started in their late 30's.
