JimmyNewton Posted June 22, 2005 Posted June 22, 2005 fake sparring?what do you mean "The wise and successsful will always be met with violent opposition by mediocre minds."
Sam Posted June 22, 2005 Posted June 22, 2005 i think he means 1 for 1 - as in no contact..... just dodging and going for targets.
karateka477 Posted June 23, 2005 Author Posted June 23, 2005 sam is right and i got to do no contact sparr with him again tonight so much fun im having shorei kai=graceful flowing
Koji-Kabuto Posted June 23, 2005 Posted June 23, 2005 I prefer Kyokushin, I'm already used to getting my * kicked by 2nd-dans(I'm white belt by the way. )
Sam Posted June 23, 2005 Posted June 23, 2005 Lol, full contact is always good to practice, but only if you're willing totake the bumps and bruises,
italian_guy Posted June 23, 2005 Posted June 23, 2005 I agree that sparring with higher belt is a fun and challanging experience.
Sam Posted June 23, 2005 Posted June 23, 2005 always get ot learn some thing - and usually get some good advice.... i love sparring my instructor.... [my only senior in most my classes] and love sparring the colour belt grades, just to see who i reckon is going to do well at tournaments.
drunken.master Posted June 23, 2005 Posted June 23, 2005 It is a great practice to spar all different ranks, ages and sizes of people. I know I learn quite a bit when I fight someone new. Coming up in rank (through Kenpo) I had no idea of the explosive power of TKD fighters. So I began to train with some of them to learn the technique. I feel the more you know, the better you become. Sam Posted June 23, 2005 Posted June 23, 2005 adn the more you see - a lot of people judge other arts based no reputation. always find its better to try for yourself.
