TJS Posted June 13, 2005 Posted June 13, 2005 Actually 7 out of 8 of Randys last fights have ended in a TKO, KO or ref stoppage. Tito was the only fight that went to a decision but he does tend to have a slow methodical stlye. As far as Tito Goes he wants like $300k just to show up so dont expect to see him back in the UFC unless he changes his mind. he may fight in K-1 but we will see.

As for Tito I really hope he stays away from K-1 or Pride. He is a UFC style fighter and his domain is in a cage under UFC rules. If he fights in pride's 205 lb division he will get his head kicked in. I'm only going to ask you once...
TJS Posted June 14, 2005 Posted June 14, 2005 He wont be in pride he already tired to negotiate a deal with them. But your right The UFC rules and cage suite his stlye much better than pride or K-1 mma rules...taking away his elbows would be a big loss for him..as well as being able to knee/kick a downed opponet.look at his fight against vitor...he would have eaten atleast 20 knees to the head with the amount of time he spend scrambling on his knees in front of vitor after takedown attempts.
judoguy Posted June 14, 2005 Author Posted June 14, 2005 Thats a strange rule that they have in pride. Kicking a downed opponent is ok but no elbow's, what is that?. As far as Tito is concerned the competition is just so much tougher in Pride I just don't think he is a talented enough fighter mentally to deal with it. Too emotional. What do you think of the current MMA shows? IMO pride is the best in overall talent but UFC puts on a better show as far as production goes. What fighters from UFC do you think could do well in pride? I'm only going to ask you once...
TJS Posted June 14, 2005 Posted June 14, 2005 Pride obviously has more money and can afford more big names per show but I just prefer the energy level and atmoshphere of the UFC.
judoguy Posted June 14, 2005 Author Posted June 14, 2005 Which is why I said the UFC puts on a better show. Who from the UFC do you think could do well in pride? I think that Andrei Arvloski would do well in the pride heavyweight division. If he beats Frank Mir I don't see the ufc being able to keep him unless they break the bank open. Outside of Andrei I don't see much in terms of who would have a legit shot at the pride heavy and light-heavy weight belts. I'm only going to ask you once...
TJS Posted June 14, 2005 Posted June 14, 2005 I think Vitor, chuck and Randy all have a very legit chance at beating W Silva. Tito and Vitor already have.UFC HW division isint very deep but but the MW and welterweight divisions are stacked...Nick Diaz, Karo, Hughes, Trigg, St pierre could all do very well in japan i think.Dave terell, and Rich franklin are top notch in the MW category.Yves Edwards just had an impressive win in pride aswell.
BJJ is 1 Posted June 15, 2005 Posted June 15, 2005 I would like to see Chuck Lidell vs. Waanderlei Silva in PRIDE "Without Jiu Jitsu its like without my two legs."-Rickson Graciehttps://www.myspace.com/cobraguard
judoguy Posted June 15, 2005 Author Posted June 15, 2005 Tito would get beaten senseless by Wandi now. Vitor got choked out by Alistair Overeem in the last pride event. Chuck did OK until he got destroyed by Rampage, but I think Chuck would do well since it seems that Quinton is in a rough strech of his career. Like I said, Zuffa puts on a great show as far as production goes...but there is a reason why UFC fighters like Chuck and Randy keep saying they want the pride belt. It's because they know that pride is where the best are and to be the best you have to beat the best in Pride. I'm only going to ask you once...
TJS Posted June 15, 2005 Posted June 15, 2005 If you look at it Belfort has all the tools to beat wandy. He has better jiu jitsu and has proven it on a wolrd level like ADCC. Better wrestling, and better standup from a technical point of view. The only advantages I would give Wandy are maybe a slight punching power advantage and possibly a better clinch game.once again this is IF Vitor could ever get his head on straight.Chuck also fought a poor fight against rampage and i would like to see a rematch. Rampage was actually offered a title shot at chuck but declined.as far as chuck/wandy goes I would give it a 50/50 chance of either guy knocking the other one out...chuck hits harder but wandy has more technical standup.
