Fish
I gained my green belt (5th Kyu) in Wado Ryu on Saturday. I was really nervous for that test, and pumped by the time it came round. I had to demonstrate basics, combinations, kata, pair techniques, and kata, followed by sparring. In addtion, I was the only adult testing for that grading. I realise now that I did everything far too quickly, and I must learn to relax and enjoy myself for my next grading! makiwaraman
Congratulations we all could do with relaxing at gradings. Even karateka going for nidan and beyound seem to still show nerves on the day.Regards makiwaraman We are necessarily imperfect and therefore always in a state of growth, We can always learn more and therefore perform better. OKINAWIANKARATEKA
Quote: I was the only adult testing. Is it common to have children in schools training with adults? In my dojo the are a few teenagers about 16 and up, but no one who be considered not an adult in training.
