  1. Quote: Funniest fight I can think of is when this guy punched my friend's friend in some parking lot- so my friend thai-kicked him once in the stomache and the guy almost threw up. His girlfriend gor real concerned "oh my god you hurt him!" and he gave her a smug look that suggested she'd be better off going home with him I was in the same situation minus the girl. Only he did throw up Best roundhouse kick I ever threw.
  2. I just aksed that question on the karate forums just 10 minutes ago. I want to go to the naval academy and then join the Corps. I have until I am 18 I guess in my style then Its marine corps style for me.
  3. A little piece of advice: NEVER stop practicing your basics, and even after you have advanced keep going to white belt classes you can always learn at beginners classes.
  4. I plan on joining the Corps after college, and I heard that they had a Martial Arts program that you can participate in on your spare time. I was wondering if any of you have heard of this or have had experience in it.
  5. This may be a little off subject, but is a test really necessary? Your master knows if you are ready or not. In my school (until black belt) you don't really test. You pretty much go through a normal class and you get your belt at the end. On 27 of june 3 of our students will be "testing" for there black belts. They all will get it, so I feel it is just a formality.
  6. title correction: ever been kicked through a wall my fingers cannot keep up with my brain
  7. Quote: I was the only adult testing. Is it common to have children in schools training with adults? In my dojo the are a few teenagers about 16 and up, but no one who be considered not an adult in training.
  8. I was sparring a fellow green belt and I took a stepping side kick to the side of my gut and and rear went straight into the wall, just missing two beams.
