I might try Tui Shou w/ my eyes closed, but never in a fight. I'm not that good.

I think its possible for it to work where your both blindfolded - but is relatively stupid to suggest that blindfolded would hold their own against sighted.

Possibly but i doubt it, I know I would do alot worse blind folded and ill admit it. If someone got a hold of the other person and it turned into a grappling match then the chances would raise alot.

Blindfighting... it isn't a PRACTICAL thing to do, but it doesn't mean it isn't impossible. In my dojang, we use to blind fold our selves and spar. We haven't done it since we put a hole in the wall with a missed kick. But I think we enough practice, learning to listen and react, you could effectively fight blind. Of course, in order to be totally proficient, you'd need to be blind 24/7, but you could learn to do some things.

Blind fighting is all about using your ears, listening to your opponents movements, and reaction. Your going to take hits, but once you get into it, you'll react and move quickly. As soon as contact is made upon you, you'll learn to move and react.

It's easy to talk about, but hard to perform. I think I got the general idea across.

A few years ago a blind black belt killed a robber here in Philly. The robber tried to take the man's wallet and the man hip tossed the robber onto the concrete. I think the robber died of internal bleeding in the skull. They debated on whether to charge the blind man with manslaughter but eventually decided he acted in self-defense.

Yea like i said before I think if a blinded person or blind folded could win ALOT easier if they got a grip of the opponent, i dont see how they would win effectivly otherwise.

We do a bit of blindfolded techniques / sparring. Lots of people are attacked in the dark or in dim light. Blindfolded stuff sure helps you feel your attackers position through sensitivity. That skill helps blindfolded or not.

Well, I ain't gonna act like I've never seen that before ... it wasn't pretty though. Sorta like a "girl fight". Apologies to the women on this site but hopefully you catch what I'm saying.

I've seen guys do it too! BLECCCH!
