My philosophy is that seeing it is illegal for me to carry weapons on the street its a waste of my time studying them .... for me.

I realise some derive benefits from them but personally I would rather spend my time practising Karate

i trained knife for a bit but as the Anonymousone said i would rather work on empty hand.

Isshin-ryu Karate includes kata and training for the follow Kobudo weapons: Bo, Sai and Tuifa (or Tonfa).

The Kama and Nunchuaku are also studied in the system, but no katas exist for them.

I like our bo form, but I do have to agree. I like the empty hand stuff myself. I prefer the empty hand forms over all.

Yes: knife, staff, arnis, pistol, rifle, bow, nunchaku, hatchet, spear, short sword to name the primary.

I do Doce Pares Eskrima San Miguel and Multi-style Systems. We use the 28"-36" rattan stick, dagger, sword, chain, bullwhip, fist weight, and throwing knife.
