ncole_91 Posted May 17, 2005 Posted May 17, 2005 Hello everyone,I was reading through some threads and they talked about recording yourself or recording a class or something like that for you to train at home. I was wondering if anyone had/would like to make some of these training sound files, so I could burn them onto a CD and play them on a CD player and have a guide of what I can practice. It can be about Martial Arts, or even just like fitness. I also saw some other people asking for these types of files. Thanks,Nicolas
Sam Posted May 18, 2005 Posted May 18, 2005 I know you're asking whether people want these, so sorry to go off topic with the first reply: just wondering what they are "training sound files"? I understand they're to help you train, but what are they recordings of?

ncole_91 Posted May 18, 2005 Author Posted May 18, 2005 lol, I mean like in class when your instructor says go into front stance, then lunge punch, then starts to count. I thought I would just ask before I made my own. Thanks
AnonymousOne Posted May 19, 2005 Posted May 19, 2005 I record my own training sessions to follow. They have these components:Warm upsBasicsKataExercisesCool DownsThey vary extensively depending on what day it is. My ones are always two hours long and they would not be much use to people in other schools because the commands are all in Japanese and our school uses some different terminology to other schools, so you would hear a command to do something and not know what you were supposed to be doing. For exampleIf you were asked to perfom:Kihon Keiki Mai SanHappo GeriKara Zuki Itch, Ni, or SanKihon Yon DosaWould you know what it was? 7th Dan ChidokaiA true combat warrior has to be hard as nails in mind, body and soul. ncole_91 Posted May 19, 2005 Author Posted May 19, 2005 We don’t use the same terminology, as you. I know that zuki would be a type of punch, then 1 or 2 or 3. Kihon means basic, Geri is some type of kick, but there is a lot I do not know. Anyways, thanks.

ncole_91 Posted May 19, 2005 Author Posted May 19, 2005 I am in a Shotokan School. I started about 6 months ago so i dont know too many "advanced" moves. Yeah i would like a mix of all them, if you have them. I find it easier to practice at home, hwen someone is like there watching you and pushing you (the audio file). Thats is you understand.

But the results speak for themselves. If I go to the effort of putting something together, will you follow it? 7th Dan ChidokaiA true combat warrior has to be hard as nails in mind, body and soul.
