i have abody bag that i love. i have a really good punch but i would like to develope it more and get stamina up (and possibly gain larger muscles). inorder to do this,i knbow i have to lift wiehgt ubt how should i use my bag. one bodybuilder/boxer said that he would do 3 5 min. rounds on it. what does he probably mean by that?

sopme thing like

*punch* 1 second *punch* 2 seconds *punch* 3 secounds

or

*punch punch punch* 1...2... *punch punch punch* 3....4....*punch punch punch*

or

just does he mean going at it fully (which would be crazy hard)

*punch punch punch punch punch punch punch punch punch punch punch *

any thoughts?

not entirely sure, and it's not clear what your art is, but i'm guessing it's somewhere between #2 and #3, but instead of just "..." throw defenses and footwork.

3 5 minute rounds usually means you go for 5 minutes hard, rest, and repeat twice, for a total of three 5 minute sets.

Something I used to do in my work outs .

1 flat bench With enough weight as to only allow 5 reps or so .

2 pull ups add weight if necassary to only allow 5 reps or so .

3 all out flurry punch heavy bag 10 to 30 sec .

Repeat ( I used to do 5 to 8 sets but do whatever ) .

I love this combo . I used to do other things along with it but I felt gains in strength and endurance when doing this combo for a while .

We are not so much individual beings as individual points of perception within one immense being.
