MR. BISHOP WHAT IS THE MATERAL FOR KAJUKENBO UP TO BLACK BELT?

For the first black belt rank, which is "Student Black".

Punch Counters 1-21

Grab Arts 1-15

Knife Counters 1-15

Club Counters 1-13

2 Man defenses 1-8

3 Man Defenses 1

Alphabet Techniques A-G

Palama Sets 1-14

I've been told that the first 26 combinations in Shaolin Kempo are very similar to the first 26 Punch Counters in Kajukenbo. Do you know if this is correct?

There aren't 26 punch counters in Kajukenbo, only 21. Like I said in a previous post, I only recognized 1 Kajukenbo technique out of all the 1st degree requirements for the Villari/USSD schools.

SKK techniques and katas are mostly tae kwon do and shotokan. George Pesare only trained up to purple belt with Sonny Gascon, so he only had a small portion of the Karazempo techniques. He did get a black belt in tae kwon do, and trained in some other arts in his home state. Early tae kwon do used shotokan katas, and Nick Cerio also learned shotokan/Kyokushinkai katas. Anyone familiar with Japanese/Okinawan katas will see that the SKK Pinans are almost identical. I don't know where the numbered "katas" come from, but their not Kajukenbo.
