Sam Posted July 3, 2005 Posted July 3, 2005 glad you enjoyed it - i would recommend trying it all out first.... you never know what you're going to enjoy until you've experienced it - and a lot of people have a bias toward the style they train in.
Menjo Posted July 3, 2005 Posted July 3, 2005 Yea I admit myself I tend to be biased about shotokan. "Time is what we want most, but what we use worst"William Penn
Sam Posted July 3, 2005 Posted July 3, 2005 and im very defensive about peoples positions on TKd, although not really biased about its effectiveness.... always good to know about your own biases though.

danieldc Posted August 18, 2005 Posted August 18, 2005 Any MA can be a tool 4 that porpouse. Am sure u have to find some school (in any MA) that enfatizies in self defense. Here we have a lot of martial arts-dojos and dojans and others that are self-defense schools who teach from basic forms, convination of greco-roman, judo, aikido, hap ki do, Tae kwon do and or kung fu.They are for self defense porpouses, they are not for martial arts developments or teach. Neither does test or level any kindUsually the teacher is some kind of ex-police or ex-mp. (Fun fact when go and find Major Pain as your instructor, jeje!) Live your day as it is the last, think like gonna live forever.
