For those of you who are married, what does your spouse think of your Martial Arts training? Did he/she know about it before marriage? Did you get started after marriage? etc.

I'm only engaged, but I'll say that my financee is interested in the martial arts as well, and we would like to find an art we both would practice together

We both train together I got him into it after we met (I created a MA Monster!!! LOL).

She knew about my training before hand, and knows how important it is to me and supports me in it

My wife is a 2nd Dan...we run a school together.

I actually met her in the martial arts club in college.

I trained before my wife and I were married but I had quite by the time we married.Last year I started training again.She supports me in anything I do.She even tried a few classes to see if she herself would like it.

Our entire family trains at the same dojo. Our two kids are one rank ahead of us.

Not married, but me and my girlfriend of 3 years started training together a year and a half ago... and have been ever since...

I started after we met. She is happy that I am training to be able to defend us both. She is a bit worried that I am now more likely to get into a fight. Overall she is pretty happy with it. She likes the positive impacts it has had on my body.

I also started after my marriage (10 years after) and like busling wife she likes the effects of having a fitter husband now also my son is involved in MA (Shotokan karate) and she enjoy watching some of his lessons.
