anyone else split thier MA training on the same day?

If you do, and you make sure to have a good amount of time to rest between lifting and training, it's possible (not guaranteed) you'll be just fine. IF, that is, you are eating right.

I can only manage to go to practice twice a week, but on those days I'll work out in the morning and have my 2 1/2 hour practice in the evening. Letting the whole day in between the two lets my body rest up sufficiently.

Even on days I don't have practice, I tend to split up my workouts with physical exercise in the morning and karate in the afternoon/evening. It just makes things easier on the mind and body.

yea...its just way more convienient to workout in the mornings of karate practise..i usually do just a few muscles groups and one thin is for sure, im not doing legs on MWF :) there will be about 8 hours between weights and the training.

on tues thurs sat ill be spacing out over the days, going over kata and basics, running and working out as well.
