JusticeZero Posted April 17, 2005 Posted April 17, 2005 Why, exactly, do you "have to" build that much muscle mass?? Isn't that kind've like a girl saying she "has to" lose 40 pounds in less than three months to get down to under 100 pounds? (at which point she looks like a sick and underfed skeleton)I mean, you can add muscle mass in a few ways, but a lot of it is pretty pointless. Raw muscle mass is neither attractive nor the important part of anything as a rule. Building strength I can understand. Building stamina I can understand. Developing specific muscles for specific reasons I can understand. But just "to gain weight"? Maybe there's actually a specific reason you have that i'm missing, but i'd have to know what it is. Mr Pockets Posted April 17, 2005 Posted April 17, 2005 Guy, you're very young. 30lbs of muscle is A LOT for anyone, let alone you. If you want to start lifting that's great, but you have to be realistic.
Maddwraph Posted April 18, 2005 Posted April 18, 2005 also, i heard its not good to lift wieghts between 16, it can stun your growth. so do push ups and a lot of running, stuff like that. but your still young, so dont rush things. Im brasilian, but live in the united states. Really enjoying martial arts.
ncole_91 Posted April 18, 2005 Posted April 18, 2005 Seach bodybuilding on google, you will find an endless amount of information, but 30 LBS of muscle is unrealistic i think. Yeah, i think you can start lefting when you are 15 years old, just not too too much, just reasearch it a bit.
Mith Posted April 18, 2005 Posted April 18, 2005 unless you use an illegal substance and that is definitely not recommended for anyone... especially at such a young age.You would need to consume around 5,000 calories per day and in addition to the muscle you would also gain a substantial amount of fat that would require you too go on a cutting diet which would also cause you to lose some muscle. So it's a catch 22!30lbs of muscle is achievable in a 9 month time frame with hard work and proper diet. You may be able to look into creatine to help but mostly it's gonna be a sound diet, good workout habits, and plenty of rest (remember muscles are built when you rest!).Good luck but please take a realistic approach!
Radok Posted April 18, 2005 Posted April 18, 2005 You can gain thirty pounds in 3 months. I gained twenty pounds in 10 weeks using my routine. If you can't laugh at yourself, there's no point. No point in what, you might ask? there's just no point. Many people seem to take Karate to get a Black Belt, rather than getting a Black Belt to learn Karate.
CadetRay Posted April 18, 2005 Author Posted April 18, 2005 Radok could u tell me your routine so i have something to start with. And i dont need to gain excally 30lbs i want want built more anything would be nice but my goal would be 30ls and i have the summer to do it so........help!!!! SevenStar Posted April 18, 2005 Posted April 18, 2005 lol... he just wants to be able to walk around with no shirt this summer. seriously though - forget about it. shoot for next summer. heck, you are only 15 NO REASON you could have for gaining 30 lbs in three months could be THAT urgent...
ManaZe Posted April 18, 2005 Posted April 18, 2005 CadetRay- What is you height and weight now? 30 lbs in 3 months? This is not only unrealistic, but unhealthy. Besides, you're young and have plenty of time to get there. Like SevenStar said, shoot for next summer.
