snackinabox Posted April 17, 2005 Posted April 17, 2005 Hey everyone! My name's Steph and I'm a 16 year old karateka from Auckland, New Zealand (yes where we all wear grass skirts and live in mudhuts jokes jokes).I'm excited about joining you all here, what a fantastic forum!A bit of background info: both my brothers have been doing karate since they were 5, the older one (Chris) represented NZ in Fiji at the Oceania championships last year (great thing about having him do karate is that I get dragged along to all the competition venues...not that I mind or anything! ). So basically I'm the odd one out. Mum and dad always tried to persuade me start but I never really caught on...until last year that is. So here I am, training and enjoying it. Boy it's so much harder than it looks! lol I've basically spent 6 years always being table staff/marshall at tournaments so yeah it's a bit of a change.
