Warp Spider Posted August 25, 2003 Posted August 25, 2003 The instructor should've said "Maybe Karate isn't you thing. Try flying!" and then punted the kid into the air! Dahahaha, that'd be hilarious! Paladin - A holy beat down in the name of God!
Fa-Jing Posted September 4, 2003 Posted September 4, 2003 The Story was funny. Each Kid has a differnt level of maturity, some kids are ready to train earler then otheres. I started at 7 years old it was good for me. Don't be to hard on kids you might turn them off to martial arts for the rest of ther life. A kid should Respect the teacher not be scared. "treat a child like a master and a master like a child" Did you treat that kid like a child, not a master or you might have blocked that kick? "You punch like a pig and kick like a dog"
GrrrArg Posted September 6, 2003 Posted September 6, 2003 Im just surprised that the kid had enough sense to kick when he realised the palm strikes weren't being effective...use what works and discard what doesn't and all that...
Coco Posted September 23, 2003 Posted September 23, 2003 ouch dude, i think this guy will bring a cup next time youre practicing something like this, why did the 5yr old do it anyways? did you kick him out? Shito Ryu (3rd kyu) RETIRED - 2002-2003Now studying BJJ(2006)
kenpo4life Posted November 14, 2003 Posted November 14, 2003 The kid was a little off base, but what do you want, he is 5. I say the teacher should have reacted, that is the same thing as a sneak attack! If my survival means your total destruction, then so be it.
Practice is the key _ Posted January 19, 2004 Posted January 19, 2004 What were the Instructor reactions throught this? was he nealry felt from his strong stances? Somone love oneSomone love twoI love one That one is myself just have been turn down....
kotegashiNeo Posted January 25, 2004 Posted January 25, 2004 Great story, too funny but what was the instructor thinking, teaching karate to a 5 year has nothing to do with striking vital areas. What was the next drill shuto to the throat. In my opinion it should been the instructor removed from class and forced to a million push-ups but then again he'd suffered enough Kisshu fushin oni te hotoke kokoro
nathanjusko Posted February 8, 2004 Posted February 8, 2004 It sounds to me like your 5 year old kid is a little * who's going to get the piss beaten out of him during sometime in his martial arts career, the apple of daddy's eye is a bully who fights dirty. You must be so proud.
