dtstiachi
How many Chinese Chair squats (no weights, squat so your rear end is parrallel to the floor) can you all do? How long can you hold it? This is my most hated and accursed excersize, but it has really strengthened my legs.I can do between 25-30 right now. (I also have to crawl out of the studio) I look foward to hearing your comments. CQC
Do you mean squatting with one foot on the chair, moving down until your butt is parallel to the floor? If so, this exercise is super effective, and killer. I practiced with a block of wood roughly 2 feet tall rather than a chair. I haven't done them for roughly a year, so I probably couldn't do 30 straight. I do train my legs quite a bit, but this has to be one of my all time favorite exercises simply for it's effectiveness. dtstiachi
Squatting up and down so your butt is parallel to the floor. I also try to do these on a count, (5 secs. down, hold for 5, and then up for 5). As I am nearing the end of my limit I might do a "burnout" where I will hold one or two for 30sec to a minute. Then I will be crawling out of the studio. No complaints though, it has been really helpful. "The journey of a 1,000 miles starts with but a single step."
