Cmon Posted March 31, 2005 Posted March 31, 2005 Ive herd that if you keep pushing down on a tire and do it as a traning tool it helps improve your ability to use your artms more powerfully does this work? Do you understand what i mean?
Mr Pockets Posted April 1, 2005 Posted April 1, 2005 My opinion would be that you need to to lift weights if you want more power. That and train hard in striking or grappling or wherever you want that power.
danege Posted April 1, 2005 Posted April 1, 2005 Technique.Using your whole body, not just your arms to give you power.Anything that strengthens your triceps will help too. Hand to hand, heart to heartIf you don't come, i will not startBut if you start, i will arive firstAnd hit you continuiously untill i see red.
SevenStar Posted April 1, 2005 Posted April 1, 2005 pushing down on the tire, if the elbows are kept close to the body, is working the triceps - it would be akin to doing tricep pressdowns on a machine, only with less resistance, as the tire is not as heavy as the weights. As the resistance of the tire cannot be increased, the strength level you can attain is limited.
