Jinxx0r Posted April 1, 2005 Posted April 1, 2005 Well i dunno wut an MRI is?And when this happened I was kicking air. Also as for the symptoms when I bend my knee I can feel and hear a strong grinding sensation.Anyways it's only in my right knee so if it were my flat feet wouldnt both hurt.I have also noticed that my shoes tend to wear out on the outside edges more than the other parts.grinding in you knee could mean a tear of the meniscus cartilage. You should see a doctor about that. Cartilage doesn't heal well on its own and sometimes requires surgery. Talk to a doctor.http://orthopedics.about.com/cs/meniscusinjuries1/a/meniscus.htm(for more info) "In the beginner's mind there are many possibilites, but in the expert's there are few."
aefibird Posted April 1, 2005 Posted April 1, 2005 I'd suggest going back to your doctor and explaining your situation fully to him. He's the best person to help you.Good luck with your knee problem! I have dodgy right knee which often makes MA training painful or just plain uncomfortable. I'm sure that my knee porblem wouldn't have been as bad had I gone to a doctor when I injured it sooner rather than later. "Was it really worth it? Only time and death may ever tell..." MASIsshinryu Posted April 3, 2005 Posted April 3, 2005 Your general practitioner should be able to refer you to an orthopedic specialist. I have, unfortunately, seen more than my share of them.If it is the meniscus, it may or may not require surgical correction. It would certainly limit your workout for a while, but only a qualified physician can make that call. I would not let it go for any length of time, though, as they can get significantly worse, untreated. "Tomorrow's battle is won during today's practice."M.A.S.
