Is it okay to do pushups while your triceps are still sore from wieght lifting? I know triceps get worked out while doing pushups, so I want to make sure it's okay to do pushups while they're sore from wieght lifting. :)

Why don't you do them and see how it feels, there's no formula for everyone.

The amateur shoots his hands out ferociously, but lacks any true power. A master is not so flamboyant, but his touch is as heavy as a mountain.

I'm not a doctor, but I think it would be fine, as long as you don't get so sore that it's actually painful. I've done it and not had any problem with it.

Hmm. Hello. This is the floor. How did I get here?

Certainly no way of telling for sure, a lot of factors weigh into this sort of thing.

Give it a try, you're not going to overtrain if you try it once. Unless you're doing tricep isolation pushups you should be fine.

Don't lift with a muscle when its sore. Work chest and triceps on the same day if you're having that problem. And just in case this is what you're doing: never lift something like triceps before chest, same for bis before back, shoulders before (whatever), etc.

I'm not a doctor or a health professional, but I'd say rest whilst your muscles are sore.

Better to be safe than sorry. :)
