Thsi seems to be a very rare kata and a very high kata . My sensei who has been studing around 30 years jsut learned Hakucho . and does not know this one yet I was jsut wondering if any of the great minds here might have some information on this awsome kata I have only seen a very few people run this kata.

I havent heard of that Kata, mind you I am in a derivitive of Shotokan but also know all the Gojuryu Kata.

Does it go by another name?

I was also taught a Kata called Arasu Yosai by an old Uncle of mine when I was in Okinawa, and no one seems to know this one either.

I think many Okinawan families kept some ancient Kata secret

What's your favourite Goju Kata?

I used to realy enjoy Seiyunchin - Gave the legs a real killer workout. Mind you, my old Sensei did make me do it for 2 years before he let me move on to the next one (Shisochin).

Speaking of the length of Kata etc - what is the longest in your art. In Doce Pares Eskrima our longest form, using & stick & a dagger, has over 1500 strikes & takes about 7 minutes if done at a fast pace.
