Chaz
How exactly do you train to do One-Finger Push-ups? Also, how do you do them correctly so you don't break your finger? DKizzle
I don't think it's possible, and I don't think it would make you any stronger than someone using their whole hand. You're just gonna mess up your fingers.
ckd-student
Its pretty much to just impress. If you want to get stronger then just do normal push ups and if you want to get your wrists stronger then do knuckle push ups. 1 finger would just be to show off or impress. Chunk Kuk Do in SC! DKizzle
Push ups aren't the best show of strength anyway. Some people, even strong ones, just plain can't do a bunch of them. I believe it's due to lactic acid buildup being faster in some people.

Radok
It is quite possible. The world record for one fingered pushups is 34 consecutive, while balanced on a coconut. Just start practicing push ups using less and less fingers. Once you are down to one on each hand, start leaning more and more to one side until you are down to one finger. I can do pushups on only my thumbs at this point. If you can't laugh at yourself, there's no point. No point in what, you might ask? there's just no point. Many people seem to take Karate to get a Black Belt, rather than getting a Black Belt to learn Karate. vertigo
It's definitely possible, I've heard of it being done... but why?? I'd agree with other posters on here, sounds like a quick way to break my finger If you really want to find out, I'm sure there is an article posted somewhere on the net that'll tell you how to perform them correctly... of course, assuming no one here knows.
