I was taught chi healing by a master who traveled to 3 countries (Japan, China, and Korea) to learn about chi.

When I pass my hand over people, more than half of them say that they feel something, even a little girl told her parents that she felt heat traveling through her body when I did it, and more than half say that they feel so much better after, even experiencing loss of pain.

Is this really chi or is it just in their minds? :-?

Chi can help heal the body. That being said, if I break an arm or get cancer, I'm going to the doctor. I'll still do chi exercises to help, but I'm going to the doctor.

Some people believe Chi healing can be done by a person using some Chi Kung excersizes or excercizes done in Tai Chi to relax the body and improve the circulation. My Grandmaster told us that some cancer hospitals use Tai Chi as a way of supplementing the treatment given to a patient.

As for Chi Healing. I don't know about any instances where people have been miraculously, (ie. faith healing) healed with any Chi Kung or Chi methods. I do know that doing some Chi Kung or Tai Chi excercizes can help improve different areas of the body. A quick testimony. One morning after I woke up I realized that I had slept on my neck wrong and had a horrible kink in it. It was very bad and I had to turn my torso to talk to people. I went to the gym and did my tai chi workout, and I did Zuang Zhuang training for about 15 minutes after my initial warmup. Strangely enough, after the 15 minutes were up, the kink in my neck was gone. The muscles had relaxed through doing the excercize and I had no pain after that.

I hope this personal story helps someone. As far as major Chi Healings go, I can't comment.

I believe that ki can heal...

It's an advanced part of Sykan and Danzan Ryu, and Okazaki's Seifukujutsu has proven it valid for many years.

Well, if it makes them feel better, I'd say that it's a good thing either way. Even if it is just "all in the mind" - if it works for them then that's a good result.

Too often people knock things such as Chi healing as only being in the minds without seeing that even if it is only in the mind, at least it is having a positive effect.

BTW, Pineapple, I want to make it clear that I don't think that you're 'knocking' Chi healing. :)

I also agree with aefibrid. The mind is truly amazing and even if there is no such thing as Chi healing if a person truly belives it then it will most likely have a positive effect on them. It's the same thing that happens during some drug reserch when all the people reciveing treatment think that their getting the drug but half recive the placebo insted. But if they truly belive that it will heal them the results can often be in their favor.

God has not given us a spirit of fear, but a spirit of love, a spirit of power, and of self-discipline.

acupuncture might.

I thought all that chi/qi/ki stuff was nonsense too, but then our weapons teacher was down from Green Bay and what I witnessed changed my mind dramatically. Oh, and I am Christian too for all those people who think that we shoudln't mix the two things.

It's all electricity. And all of these techniques and methods work together with varying amount of success.

For some people, the answer is drugs - a quick and easy way to alter or block synapse response. Other than taking them, no effort is required by the user.

Yoga can do the same thing. The stretching causes muscles accept more blood. For general purposes, this makes your body a giant radiator. Flow = good.

Acupunture works much the same way by manipulating physical entry points to the nervous system.

A good workout releases chemicals that ease nerves.

Anyway, all of these things work together. I totally believe in all of these healing methods.
