SaiFightsMS Posted March 13, 2005 Posted March 13, 2005 More time in training and more repititions of the kicks. You need to work the basics and work them a lot.
June1 Posted March 14, 2005 Posted March 14, 2005 Let's see... If you want stronger leg muscles, the only exercise that comes to mind right now that you can do without using any equipment is running/jogging. You could also do slow leg raises. As for the actual techniques, practicing is the key. Also, why don't you ask your instructor for some extra help? Kool Kiais: ICE! DIE! KITES! DAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAGHHHHHH! karatekid1975 Posted March 14, 2005 Posted March 14, 2005 This might help, too. http://www.karateforums.com/viewtopic.php?t=6186 It's a thread on stretching. There's a lot of good stuff in there. I hope this helps Laurie F
busling Posted March 14, 2005 Posted March 14, 2005 One legged squats really work your legs hard. They may help develop some extra power for you. Train Hard --- http://www.combatcentres.com/
AnonymousOne Posted March 16, 2005 Posted March 16, 2005 For greater leg strength I cannot highly recommend enough of that of using weights. Do lunges, squats, squat jumps with weights, sprinting, burpees, step ups, sissy squats Here is an article that is about jumping, but the exercises are designed to develop explosive leg strength http://www.home.no/slominski/Air%20Alert%20III.htm Weight exercises in detail (excellent site) http://www.exrx.net/Lists/Directory.html 7th Dan ChidokaiA true combat warrior has to be hard as nails in mind, body and soul.
