RaidenTB
A little something I want to share. Mostly because if I knew what was waiting to happen, I would have acted differently. So here it goes: I've broken one of my toes three years ago. No big deal, right? Well next year, same injury, same toe broken in the same spot. This year, yes, you've guessed it - broken again. After all the x-rays from the previous years were gathered together and examined, I was told that the fracture actually never healed properly and I've got some cartilage and fibrous tissue where should have been bone. Why? Cause as soon as I could walk normally, I couldn't help myself but to go to the gym and train. I didn't listen to the doctors advice, to avoid any serious activity for at least another week. So instead of giving myself a good 5 weeks off the first time it was broken and never having this injury again - I am now sceduled for surgery to remove the anomalous tissue... So from time to time, it's ok to listen to your doctors advice, he might actually be right... Imagination is more important than knowledge. Ben Martin
yeah man thats so stupid of you. you need to theink about it propperly do you want to train as soon as possible or do you want to be able to train propperly in the future. i broke my big toe at the end of nov and the doc said give it 2 months before you do any sort of martial arts. so thats what i did and even then still it was troubling me so o waited another week so 9 all together and now my toe is fine. my sensei was telling me that one of the students was acusing me of slacking off. but to the the truth i couldnt care less what anyone else says i want to know im fully better before i start fighting again. i do understand how hard it is to not train but what you could have done insted was do weights and build your self up so your stronger when you go back. Ben Martin
Riding a bike is the best cardio exercise with a broken toe as you dont need to use your toes when pedaling. June1
my sensei was telling me that one of the students was acusing me of slacking off. Hang on... I know this doesn't have to do with the topic, but your sensei told you what another student said about you?? Kool Kiais: ICE! DIE! KITES! DAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAGHHHHHH!
