KarateKid7
I have heard that the V-shape Sitting stretch is an effective way of improving flexibility. If so, how often should I do this stretch and on which phase of the stretch should the emphasis be...i.e how do i really hit the hips and groin (and its ligaments). Any help would be much appreciated. Thanks Basically i need to improve the speed and power and height of my hook kicks, back spinning hook kicks, roundhouses and axe kicks...i think improving flexibility (considering I have limited flexiblilit) would be a good start rite cheerz. Maddwraph
oh,a personal trainer from ym capoiera class told me a good way on practicng kicks like hook kicks. he said grab a chair, and trust pratice kicking over the chair trying to make your kicks more accurate and stretching them more and stuff. that will work out some parts of the legs and develop your kicks. stretching im not sure on, but like i said, yoga books. best of luck. KarateKid7
So u think standing and practicing kicks will actualy improve the kick and improve flexibility if performed intensively and on a regular basis? I do want to improve the range of motion of the kicks...i.e flexibility, height and kicking endurance "Life is a journey, not a destination""Absorb what is useful, reject what is useless""Knowing is not enough, we must apply. Maddwraph
i do, the flexibility yeah, and you should feel it in the legs after you do it for a while. to get your kciks stronger though, a hitting bag would be nice. but for height and flexibility, do it over a chair, if you feel thats too easy, maybe get something a little bigger. just becareful.
