traz
I'm always striving to perfect my techniques. I learn new techniques all the time...which leaves lots of room for perfection Like a midget at a urinal, I'm always on my toes
krzychicano
My motivation is to constantly be the best at anything I start and for me that is always enough What the superior man seeks is in himself; what the small man seeks is in others. - Confucius
The Lip
Well, I started because my cousin did it, too. I keep going because it's great fun (all of the Dutch aikijutsuka's are one tight group). We also have plenty of room for perfecting techniques... Too bad our O-Sensei keeps changing them "Going on means going far, going far means returning"Tao Te Ching, China
cathal
Why would your sensei keep changing techniques? Wouldn't that be counterproductive? .The best victory is when the opponent surrendersof its own accord before there are any actualhostilities...It is best to win without fighting.- Sun-tzu
italian_guy
I also have fun doing karate and Tai chi chuan. I have fun and I like to see all that visible improvement that martial art is doing to my body. About you (who started this thread... I forgot) I think you should ask yourself what you were expecting when you started and if your expectation has been meet... maybe it's not you maybe is the style or the school that make you feel unconfortable. Thaegen
I do it, because when I am attacked I want to defend myself at the best of my abilities. I train not only for me, but also for the people I care about.
