SaiFightsMS Posted February 1, 2002 Posted February 1, 2002 I have seen dumbbell presses and flyes done effectively on a fitness ball.
kicker Posted February 2, 2002 Posted February 2, 2002 well If you got say a small table you could use that and make it softer or say like a couch or like if you can take a part off that then put it on something. um... you could make one thats easy a crappy you could use an ironing table a bed would be too wide. a kitcen counter?? well out of ideas when you do your best it`s going to show. Jack Posted February 2, 2002 Posted February 2, 2002 Or do the dangerous thing I used to do, lie ACROSS your bed and wedge feet against wall. Too dangerous to try though, I only did it once. Pushups for me JackCurrently 'off' from formal MA trainingKarateForums.com
SaiFightsMS Posted February 3, 2002 Posted February 3, 2002 Fitness balls are growing in popularity and are encredibly versatile. You will never get the stretch you get on a flye like the way you can on the ball. And it is much easier to do reverse flyes for the back of the shoulders on a ball. Not too mention the core body work.
YODA Posted February 3, 2002 Posted February 3, 2002 Ball are great - I love balls - I have two, one big one and one smaller one. Be VERY careful though - exercising on them can lead to horrendous injury unless you know exactly what you are doing. Core strength is important and a big balls are the way to get it - go easy at first & you'll have a great time. kicker Posted February 3, 2002 Posted February 3, 2002 well I was thinking doing a bench press on a ball (any size I guess) wouldn't really work because you might pop it well Like it might be harder and you could fall easy and even hurt yourselfs with the weight. But it could also be good by helping getting stronger balnace and muscles but some people might not want that when you do your best it`s going to show. AnonymousOne Posted February 4, 2002 Posted February 4, 2002 A GI pushup is where you push off the ground and clap your hands before going down again 7th Dan ChidokaiA true combat warrior has to be hard as nails in mind, body and soul.
