traz Posted February 20, 2005 Posted February 20, 2005 skipping is awesome, and you can do it indoors Like a midget at a urinal, I'm always on my toes
mirroredfire Posted February 20, 2005 Posted February 20, 2005 Err... I wouldn't reccomend that, but I guess its up to you to research and decide for yourself, although I'm pretty sure ephedrine has been proven to be dangerous. Like any other drug its only dangerous if you don't do your research.. the only reason anyones died from it was because they were morons trying to lose lbs to meet weight regulations for wrestling matches/football/other sports.. as you may know alot of them stop drinking water to put their weight way down there (you can lose ~ 8-10 lbs in water in only a day or two) believe me if you are taking this drug wrong you will have many warning factors before it harms you including passing out.. if you drink water like is directed you will be fine + be burning fat quicker even during your non-activity times..
Hudson Posted February 22, 2005 Posted February 22, 2005 Ephedra has been known to cause: Hypertension (elevated blood pressure), palpitations (rapid heart rate), neurophathy (nerve damage), myopathy (muscle injury), psychosis, stroke, memory loss, heart rate irregularities, insomnia, nervousness, tremors, seizures, heart attacks, and death. I know, if it happened once, they have to list it, but the fact is that their are way more risks involved then say... running. Sure, it may help, but really, it's much healthier in the long run to lose fat without supplements, cardio and healthy diet are the key to losing the weight. Whatever you do, don't just take the supplements and eat MacDonalds. That would be the worst possible thing. EDIT: Also, it just occured to me that by doing cardio and eating healthy, versus taking an ECA stack, you would be able to mantain a low body fat. However, you'd have to continue to spend your money on pills to keep the pounds off on a supplement program. The game of chess is much like a swordfight; you must think before you move.
Jazzstorm Posted February 22, 2005 Posted February 22, 2005 Hudson is right! Also,I have heard from some people that you may build up a tolerance to the drugs, needing more to achieve the same results. Diet is the best way to lose bodyfat! mirroredfire Posted February 23, 2005 Posted February 23, 2005 the point of stacking the ECA is to cut extra BF.. you should already be on a body fat losing diet (drinking lots of water, 5-6 small meals a day, and cardio), the ECA stack only quickens your loses until you are at the desired bf% then you can cut it off and continue the diet to maintain.. I lift weights quite a bit and have used it during my cutting session a few times.. it works really well.. and is really popular with weight lifters as far as cutting products go, along with clen which is really hard to get ahold of.. I didn't say that this was the end all way of losing bf%, obviously natural is healthier, but if you want a much quicker way of doing it.. ECA is the most cost effective way that works.. Also the side effects from ephedra that were listed are very rare.. ephedra has been put into a bad light because of a few idiots who didn't know what they were doing with it...
Hudson Posted February 23, 2005 Posted February 23, 2005 That's great, if you wanted to cut for a few contests or over the summer and then went back to bulking, but Ephedra won't keep off anything and is too expensive to supplement into your diet and the FDA doesn't even approve of use of Ephedra past seven days. I know it works wonders for people who need to be down to contest prep weight but your average person seeking to lose weight does not need to take an ECA stack. The game of chess is much like a swordfight; you must think before you move.
PrideampPoise Posted March 1, 2005 Posted March 1, 2005 excercises are still welcome ... There's a lot of things you can do. The idea, as others have mentioned, is to do both cardio and strength training. If you don't have weights, you can still do push-ups, dips, lunges, squats, etc. With some of those, you can use anything you can hold in your hands to add some resistance. If you really want to get creative, you can even fill some milk jugs with sand or water (make sure you seal it good!) and use those for curls, presses, etc. Plyometrics is another thing you can do that doesn't require any additional resistance. This is things like jumping straight up and down repeatedly, jumping from side to side, etc. The idea here is to train for explosive power, so we're talking about big jumps, not small ones like in jumping rope. For cardio, if you can't run because of the weather, there's still things you can do indoors. If you have enough room, you can jump rope. There's running in place, jumping jacks, things like that. If you have a VCR or DVD player, there's LOTS of excercise videos you can try. Tae Bo can give you a good workout, but there's also lots of other aerobic kickboxing type of things out there, as well as step aerobics, regular aerobics, etc. There might even be some TV shows on in your area that you can record and use. The key is finding something you can stick with until the weather improves.
