krzychicano Posted February 14, 2005 Posted February 14, 2005 Doug are you testing on Saturday at kingwood? I might be going to watch since there will be quite a few people from my school testing and a couple receiving their black belts. SBN Doug Posted February 14, 2005 Posted February 14, 2005 Yeah, I'll be there. I've been informed that the black belts usually go outside for testing. So, you'll see me dieing, I mean testing, out there. Actually, since they changed the format, and put the promotions between the morning and afternoon tests, I'm not too concerned. krzychicano Posted February 14, 2005 Author Posted February 14, 2005 hahahah sweet. You need to PM me what you look like so I can look out for you hahaha. What the superior man seeks is in himself; what the small man seeks is in others. - Confucius
KSWDanMan Posted February 14, 2005 Posted February 14, 2005 Good luck KSN Doug.. I'll be there testing, but don't think I'l lbe outside.
ZR440 Posted February 14, 2005 Posted February 14, 2005 Just look for the guy who is carrying a suitcase-sized box that has a big red cross and it reads First Aid. Seriously though, good luck Doug. It's happy hour somewhere in the world.
SBN Doug Posted February 14, 2005 Posted February 14, 2005 taiji fajin, I've heard it's typically Master Dickson, Master Alex, or even Master Harmon if a lot of us from his dojang are testing. The DBNs used to always be lead by Master Roper, but I don't know if he still does. Good luck KSN Doug.. I'll be there testing, but don't think I'l lbe outside. In that case, good luck to you as well. Kuk Sool Won - 4th danEvil triumphs when good men do nothing.
KSWDanMan Posted February 14, 2005 Posted February 14, 2005 My last 2 tests have been lead by Sa Bum Nym Mike from meyerland.. I can't even remember how many push ups we did last test.. I seem to remember half way through we were already at 100..BUT... I do remember by that time, I had to go to my knees for them.
SBN Doug Posted February 14, 2005 Posted February 14, 2005 Oooo mama! I started my training under SBN Mike. He was KSN at KJN Harmon's dojang when I started. He's always had great elevation on his aerial techniques. He left when I was around Red to start the Meyerland school. Kuk Sool Won - 4th danEvil triumphs when good men do nothing.
krzychicano Posted February 15, 2005 Author Posted February 15, 2005 You two are scaring me! No black belt testing for me ever! (still a long way to go for that anyways ) What the superior man seeks is in himself; what the small man seeks is in others. - Confucius
KSWDanMan Posted February 15, 2005 Posted February 15, 2005 Sorry krzy... But it only gets better. Aside from all those push ups, I left out all the low and slow Hyung we did, along with combo kicks etc... 2 hours of physical testing .. Wheeew ..But all in all, once you get through it, it really is like a big accompishment. Well, it is for me anyway.. I don't personally know Sa Bum Nym Mike, but I have meet him at BB testing, and I think he would be a great instructor. Plus the way he runs the tests, you can just tell, that he knows his stuff. I did forget to mention on our last test, he made all the Bblack Belts 1st, 2nd, 3rd, 4th... do the push ups with us.. That was a site to see.
