I heard of this style.

If I remebered correctly.

It was used by Royal Guard during Chin dynasty, and some of the secret services in Taiwan, especially the one that does protecting for important official such as president. One of the main principle of the art is to protect others. It is one of the best style to defend other, that's why it was choose to used by Royal Guards.

No la.

Ba gua Palm/Guan (Eight Trigram Fist/Palm)

Another style of Chinese Kung Fu.

Ba gua is emphasis on the circular footstep and scarely

dare with opponent on the front side.

Baji Guan is more linear movement and emphasis

on the application of elbow and somewhat like Xiang-I.

kzshin's saying is right.

Even the last emperor of Qing dynasty learnt Bajii.

The most powerful fist in Chinese Kung Fu....I dont think so.

But a handful that still keep the "Fa jin" :brow:

The clips are... interesting?

In the one titled "Catch Front Kick", anyone else think the man in the pink shorts' footwork is a little odd?

The game of chess is much like a swordfight; you must think before you move.

Yer I can see that, he's lifting his foot everytime the other guy kicks him, the movement resembles a(little) bit of aikido, I think

Compare:

Catch Front Kick

and

tell me if you think they are similiar, the aikdoka goes right behind and takes advantage where else the Baji Guan goes on the side and maybe ready for attack.

I'm sorry to say I'm not really convinced by any of Mr Wang's video demos. His foot work looks a bit ropey and his techniques seem to lack consistency even in a setup and predictable and repetitive as that.

I believe the style you looking for is called Baji Quan. This is definitely a harder Chinese style comparing to all others. If any people think Kung Fu are all soft they should take a look at Baji Quan and Hung Gar.
